“ I'm biased, obviously, but this was one of my favourite meetups we've organised so far. All the actswere great. My co-organiser and friend Bridget hosted and shared about her PMT. The burlesque girls Agent Lynch and London Burlesque Festival winners Femme Ferale and Annette Betty were all sexy, funny and downright cool. Stewart Pemberton did incredible street style rhythum tap whilst juggling and Hideous Gomphideous our san Francisco cabaret singer was so emotionally engaging I felt it in the pit of my stomach. Gosh I am sycophantic, but it's true I loved it and was proud. AND we put soho drag legend Ruby Venezuela back on the Madame Jojos stage for the first time in 10 years. She was so famous in the Madame Jojos transvestite cabaret show in the 80s that I went to in my 20s. So for me and other people who remembered her from her heyday, it was wonderful to see her a bit older but still an amazing visual spectacle of zebraprint and frills and as funny and brilliant as we remember her. ”
